I just got back last night! Thanks to my pal Sheena, I found out about a bus that takes you to a few stops in Manhattan from LaGuardia Airport: Grand Central, Port Authority, and Penn Station. It only costs $12 and the wait is a bit longer than hailing a cab, but it's much better than paying roughly $30 to ride a cab (with a meter). A relative had always picked me up from the airport whenever I traveled, so I didn't really know about this bus until now.
